"Mediocre and Generic Space Shooter"
The game is your basic side-scroll shoot-or-avoid space game, with very little to add to the table, let alone something new. There were space rocks, space rocks that were twice as strong, ships, ships that fired back at you, and their varieties.
Your ship could move back and forth, up and down, but never at the same time, nor was there ever a good reason not to hug the left screen. Your ship was defined as a square, so an object could hit you without it visibly touching it. At the end of the level, you reached a portal that whipped you to the next level without any sort of introduction, announcement, or even sound.
There weren't powerups, bosses, a notification of damage, story (because a few sentences in the comments doesn't qualify), or anything to make this game unique or interesting in any way. This game felt like a test for ActionScript, not a demo.
There wasn't really that much wrong with the game, just nothing good about it. It's good to see some initiative though, so hopefully we can see a much more complete demo in the future.
Sincerely,
-TikiShades, of the Shades Gang

I give you the points for a very well written newgrounds Quiz. By that, I mean that the questions were well researched. And that's just a guess really, but I'd assume you went and looked for the actual answers.
The ranking system is bugged, as in the person didn't think his math out really, and seemed to just blindsight a rank system that sounded right. As I'm well aware that it was already mentioned, it's important, because there isn't anything else in this flash worth mentioning. Sure you had those "passwords" that I didn't bother to find, since 30 seconds per question is nowhere near ample time to go searching.
It's also apparent that someone spends a little too much time on the BBS, as quite a few of the questions would only be known to the extremely nerdy people who live there. Besides that, there's quite a few things I thought would be put into such a quiz, such as Pico and Tankmen references. Sure, they mentioned Jerry Jackson and Salad Fingers, but neither of those are that "big" on Newgrounds. There were some flashes that I didn't even recognize on there, making me feel left out, but then remembering that I've heard of almost everything on Newgrounds that was ever really notable, and I have an excellent memory.
If anything else, Quiz games are awful. I gave you a 4 out of 10 for having the effort of compiling this vast of (selective) knowledge on Newgrounds.

"Misinterpretations with a big EH."
Now normally, I don't take any care to respond to stupid reviews, but my god! I didn't read this as a "OMG PS3 SUX" and was simply a rage at it's price tag, as I imagine most parents would go nuts at that kind of price.
Get over yourself viewers, this isn't a Console Bash.
*******NOW ONTO THE FLASH********
The comedy was almost as bad as the rushing for this flash. I understand this is one of your experiments with a Tablet, but I'm not going to give you Pity Points for it. I grade as I see.
I like the style of comedy, but you didn't seem to perform it well. Now, I'm no big fan of yours, as I've never really heard of you, so maybe you don't normally do this kind of comedy. By the style, I mean the Mood-Swing-Impulsive kind; the sudden changing of emotion due to an event. You took this and combined it with the premature "OMG LOOK GUIZ BAD WURDS LUL", and didn't exactly voice said reaction well. It would have been better if the customer would have rolled with the cursing, and yelling it or something, but the voice stayed monotone. It's a case of bad voice acting with a very shaky comedy style that gave this piece as low a score as it has.
While the flash had some funny bits, I didn't get any real laugh out of it. I only smirked and did a small chuckle at a part, and that was all there was really time for. The flash would do better if the voice actor really got into it, and more time was spent perfecting the drawing and extending the cartoon a tad longer.
Sincerely,

"A Starter, and a Hidden Sparkle Within it."
As I saw Xiao Next Gen being submitted, I decided to check out other flash productions to see how you would trash the series.
In starting, it was a failed attempt at grasping a beginner's concept, something we've all done before. While most only see badly cropped images, I see more. For only your second flash, you showed progression towards realistic movement. It's a small movement, but it's progression, something most starters don't want to get. You show a small spark of potential, and, if molded well, could turn you into a very well honed animator.
I read some of the other reviews, as I normally do as to see other point of views, and I noticed you had said:
"took me a while my fingers started to hurt after i got done"
**********************************IMP ORTANT*******************************
*************
You did one of the biggest mistakes that a beginner can do. This tells me that you only worked on this for a single day. THIS IS BAD. Nothing worked on for only a day has ever been quality, save for a few cases. You may feel like you have worked hard on something the whole day, and feel that you should submit it. You may not like it, but your work will pay off. While you may think that if you work hard on something, no one will notice, but this is not the case. A friend of mine has worked his ass off on some great animations, but they never did really surface. Now, he's got two 5th place awards on a flash that a lot of people will immediately hate, since it was a Flash Crew flash. The same concept of hate goes toward your flash. People don't like Stickman Flashes, and groups of people will wish to tear you apart for making them, as they believe stick flash to be "shit" and wish to wipe the "trash" away. They believe it's jumping an old fad when in reality it's just a beginning artist or something.
Basically: Spend your time with animating. It WILL pay off, even if you begin to doubt it. You might want to look for support from your peers, or family, or other flash animators. There are flash groups, like the Shades Gang, that were made for support and helping out rising flash animators.

"some of you guys can give me an 8 or 5 to make me feel better"
You should never ask for sympathy like this. No one wants to give any special care towards you, especially after asking for it like that. People will actually hate you for it, out of humanistic rebellion. People, like me, do not want to use the Review Rating to coax the animator, but to rate the flash itself.
To sum things up,
-READ THE IMPORTANT PART.
-You show small potential.
-Don't ask for sympathy via reviews.
-Keep working on it.
-Try not to use images, but draw your own characters. If you can't draw Sonic or Mario, make up your own characters.
-Work on your grammar.
-Good luck!

I've played 1 and 2, and I have to say that this isn't your best work. Well, no that's a lie. This is about average of your programming work in this department. You don't always seem to get down a few aspects, and considering how this is a very simple genre of actionscript, I have to say that it wasn't up to par.
One of your biggest weaknesses is that the drawing itself is faulty. You had it right the first time. Now, it's choppy, and VERY unreliable near NO DRAW areas, as they don't always want to keep inside their little box, and decide to explore other regions as well. For many parts of the game, I had to simply jump to avoid the lasers and the bullets so I could wait for draw to work again. And it wasn't a quality thing either, because it happens on all qualities. I eventually passed the level when I tried another path, but that's crap that I have to think of how YOU did it, because of faulty coding. Unless you did that on purpose, and if that is the case, you take away what is supposed to be in this game: ORIGINALITY. The game was founded on HOW CAN U SOLV UT? and by taking that away you ruin the experience.
A platformer shouldn't be reliant on how well its coded, its supposed to be about if you can just make that jump. And if you did that, then you'd no longer have an original idea.
The level design was alright, and the Level Editor was a pretty dumb addon IMO, since the game itself, if it got a Player Pack, would be lessened as a bunch of idiots make impossible platform stages and claim they, their friend, and you of course, can complete them, leaving all of us in the shadows of failure.
It was a fun game, but I really think you could have done better.

Why would I include impossible lvls in a level pack though :P

"The final review of the episode!!!"
Now, I believe that this episode ended rather badly. WAIT WAIT WAIT HEAR ME OUT!
In an action flash like this, and especially if you have 3 parts to a single episode, you need to drag in the crowd. Your "Thesis Plot"; the thing that the series is about. You ended it of her driving off, and it never truly explained how or what kind of action there is. Is she going to be fighting off some soldiers for food? Or just drive around and mope? I can't honestly tell, because her just having all this action over sustenance makes the action seem a little silly.
Sure, you can make it as action-y as you will, but when the motive is that loaf of bread, it almost seems like a bad joke, dealt to be funny with the seriousness. I was hoping to see that she was holding some sort of relevance of why the soldiers wanted her dead, but I came out empty handed.
There are a few other plot holes, like how she has a car that still has gas, and didn't explode like a car (aka A box of lighter fluid and explosive objects) should have; and how she seemed to stop at a gas station for gas, when all reminiscence of a Gas station should be blown to pieces, as oil is extremely explosive; but I don't want to go into the plot holes really, because those are easily forgotten and tossed aside for the sake of plot speed.
It's a very interesting story, but I want to know that there is something to be fought over. Hopefully, I will see such a thing in the next episode.
Looking forward,
-TikiShades of the Shades Gang

The above should not be said in a flash as serious as this is supposed to be, as adding comedy to gruesome makes a small part of a person die inside, even if they laugh along. Some of the choices, which I can't truly object to as I haven't been in a high-stress situation, that "Girl" did seemed laughable. Such as "OH CRAP I MIGHT CRASH INTO THAT TRUCK! QUICK TURN INTO THE LANE!" seemed to be a bad idea, if she was trying to dodge incoming traffic and not off herself.
This one at least ended right, as we were compelled to know if that was her head that was just chopped off, regardless of there being huge plot tears if it did happen.
Not much else to say about it, other than that I slap your wrists for trying to be funny with death. What are you Roman?
Oh right... realistic sounds and great animation and all that jazz. If you want what was good, go read the reviews rated 10. There's like 800 of them, so take your pick.

This part of the episode was probably one of the better intros I've seen, especially taking that it really pokes at your fear. You take one of the possibilities of a apocalypse that is believed in general, and speed up the process (or are you? :o) to make it seem modern day without it being too unbelievable. You add to the thrill of the flash because of this, making the series much more compelling to watch.
It didn't have very much action, but I guess I shouldn't be complaining about that in an introduction. You ended it at a not-so-cliffhanger, with only the sense of "What will happen next?" to make us go watch the second episode, without adding a "OMG SHIT IS GOING DOWN!", because we were already told that missiles were being launched, so watching one do so isn't as interesting.
Other than that, you show great potential, and I hope to be watching this series in the future.

"A Great Idea, and a great amount of lag..."
The game itself had a wonderful idea, and I was entertained up until the enemies gained to its second rank of difficulty. The it was just annoying! I had to run and make sure the red things didn't run in, and when they had no health left, my direct attacks went to no avail. My tornadoes did little to slow, and my lightening did little better than my fists did, which is a confusing thought.
It was a tower defense game you actually played, and not just watched, and that was it's strong point. It also had Achievements, which gave a sense of replay value and something to work for. Yet, what made up in Action, it lacked in actual Towers. There were only 4 towers! The only one I particularly liked was the Vine, because it could snag at least 3 enemies at a time, did plenty of damage, and at faster rates than any of my other towers did. While it was only supposed to hit the ground enemies, it occasionally hit the flying ones as well, which was a great part of it. All of the others, save for the Tornado, were complete crap. The tornado did damage, sure, but it still came out in intervals, despite it saying it did constant damage. It also was supposed to slow, but didn't always feel like it, as if it were indecisive and wished it were one of my Vine towers that were getting all the attention.
Eventually, it became panicy, which is the worst part of a tower defense game. That point where everything is going too fast for you and killing your Base, while you are completely incapable of stopping it. It was at that point, when the dead enemies did not die, and my towers all sucked, that I stopped the game, and started this review.
This game is a headache and a half mid-way, but maybe that was always the attraction of Tower Defense. No wonder I don't like them... Ah oh well. This game will go down as one of the best Tower Defense games, but that never says too much, since Tower Defense is awful.
